Chitrangda Singh
Chitrangda graduated from Jindal Global Law School in 2016. She has 8+ years of experience working on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions at leading corporate law firms in India. She has advised a variety of clients, including leading Indian and foreign conglomerates and private equity and venture capital funds on matters of Indian companies law, securities law, foreign exchange control laws, and insurance laws and regulations. Her experience spans across sectors including insurance, education, e-commerce, retail, and banking.
Chitrangda is now interested in using her practical knowledge to explore larger questions around the corporate regulatory regime in India, such as the genealogy of the corporate and securities regulation and investigating what historical and sociological perspectives inform the lawmaking of Indian financial regulators. As a Shiv Nadar Fellow, she hopes to delve deeper into these questions while also bringing her extensive work experience to help formulate holistic corporate law instruction which equips students with the skills they need to excel in their practice of the law.
Chitrangda maintains that her law school education set her up not just for her chosen career but also as a curious individual who is deeply interested and invested in the world around her. She hopes to prompt and nurture this sense of curiosity and wonderment in the coming generations of lawyers through her work in legal education.
